Cheers erupt as spire tops One World Trade Center
TODAY.com: A crane lifted the last of a 408-foot tall spire on top of One World Trade Center on Friday, a capstone to an emotional 12-year effort to replace the towers destroyed by terrorists.

Violence kills at least 24 during historic election in Pakistan
AP: Pakistanis voted in a historic election Saturday, marking the first time in the country’s 65-year history that a civilian government has completed a full term and handed over power democratically.
Violence disrupted the polls with a string of attacks that killed at least 24 people, yet despite the threat, officials expected there to be a ‘massive’ turnout.
Former star cricketer Imran Khan is facing off against the Pakistan Muslim League-N led by two-time former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the Pakistan People’s Party led by President Asif Ali Zardari.
